ReplyDeleteI choose Festival de Vina Music Festival, because I always watch TV, I like festival choose the best singer and the best folklore group participate. I like Vina del Mar Music Festival because it has best singers or groups music of the moment.
This celebration is better than other because is only 2 hours of the Santiago for freeway, it is festival international, and you can go to see in live.
I chose “fiestas patrias” because i`m a patriotic and i love this celebration; it is celebrated in all country for everybody. in the “fiestas patrias” you should put the flag of Chile in your house, it is beautiful!!! Also you can raise kites, eats typical food “empanada”, dance the typical “cueca” and drink alcohol (wine or chicha). You dont need go to anywhere because the celebration is everywhere, but is recommended visit the "fondas" or "ramadas". This festivity is the most popular in chile.
ReplyDeleteI choose We Tripantu, it’s a begin of a new cycle’s life in a Mapuche’s culture. The last years, this celebration it’s more popular in our country and it’s celebrated in many place. I think it’s a way for connected with my roots and know something of this stronger people that they’re trying to keep their culture and tradition.
ReplyDeleteI choose ´´Festival La Tirana´´, because in this festival you can celebrate with the people of the town. But the most important reason for prefer this pleace is because you can watch and learn about the culture and the religion of Chile.

Maybe the journey from Santiago to La Tirana is long, but i recommend it to you because this place is really useful if you are interesting in the culture of Chile.
i choose fiestas patrias because it the best celebration in chile, is celebrated throughout country , if you don´t have money for "fondas" you with your friends and families you can put celebrate by hosting barbecues , is the funnier than to other celebration in chile , you will love the celebration, because not is only fun , you will see air shows , patriotic decorations and typical foods, like baked pasties .

I choose Fiestas Patrias. It is a transverse celebration: you don't need to be a part of especifical religion, neither it is concentrate in a especifical region of Chile; therefore is not necessary to do a trip for be a part of it, you don't need to be watching TV to enjoy it (as an options that offers the Festival de Viña del Mar), only is enough that you are in Chile or you are Chilean (in any part of the world) for you can celebrate it. Even today many foreigners also celebrate it. During these days of celebration, all people in the country and other chilean, all chileans!, takes a relax and the families can to share whith his other family members. All places are in a festive atmosphere. The activities for celebrate are particular in each families, but generally this celebration are based in To eat chilean food, drink wine or other drinks alcoholic (chilean drinks: Chicha, terremotos), tipical chilean plays and popular chilean dance " the CUECA".

ReplyDeleteI choose Santiago a mil, because this festival can bring art and great shows for many people in the city. Many people of Santiago normally can not access to arts shows, because it is very expensive and they don’t have time for go, the this is the opportunity that they have. It is the largest festival of Chile, for three weeks the streets of city are filled with partys. It is street art and circus international for the people. The most interesting of the festival is that people don’t have to go far from their homes because the art is in the streets.

I like this celebration because is a beautiful place, in the day you can visit the beach and eat delicious sea food, this celebration is better than Festival de la Tirana, because here you can see international singers. I prefer ‘‘Fiestas Patrias’’ because I think that this is the best celebration in Chile, with all kinds of activities, and you have not to travel to celebrate it.
ReplyDeleteYou can find the most delicious and more expensive food than a normal day, but the cheapest and funniest way to celebrate it, is make a barbecue or ‘‘asado’’ in home.

I choose Fiestas Patrias, because It is one of the most important celebrations in Chile. On this day, chileans celebrate of different ways. For example, with tradicional dance “La Cueca”, with decoration in houses, with typical food, etc. I like this celebration, because “La Cueca” is, for me, the best and the most beautiful dance in South America. Also, I like the typical food: Empanadas, anticuchos, mote con huesillos, etc. Finally, I like to share this day with my family and Friends.
ReplyDeleteFor me, this celebration is better than Viña del Mar Music Festival or festival de la Tirana, because in Fiestas Patrias, all chileans celebrate, from north to south of Chile. Also, this day is a holiday in Chile.
I choose "Viña del Mar Music Festival" because is the most important festival in Chile. It´s a good opportunity to see god international artist, and if you don´t have money, you can watch it on TV. Also, Viña del Mar is the most beautiful city in Chile, and is very touristic.

ReplyDeleteI choose the Fiestas Patrias, I think this holidays are the best, because we celebrate our independence, also we meet with our family or our friends, we drink "terremoto" and "chicha", we eat "empanadas" and the persons that eat meat, they eat "asados", we dance until the night, in our houses or in "Fondas". The Fiestas Patrias in Chile are a moment very especial and happy for the Chilians. The celebration that I chose isn't better than others, but this celebration is longer that "We Tripantu", is very interesting and cheap if you know where to go. The Festival de la Tirana, or The Carnaval Andino Con la Fuerza del Sol are celebrations more cultural than Fiestas Patrias.

ReplyDeleteIn chile the “patriotic festivities” are celebrated on September 18th and 19th. In these two days the people will go to “fondas”, dance “cueca” (national dance) and eat lots empanadas. Also, on those days most people are off work, which is wonderful!. In the cities people put flags and practice daily activities, a lot people of different ages participate of the “patrotic festivities”.

I choose the Andean carnival with the strength of the sun as this is done in the north of the country can know the desert climate of the country, as opposed to the center and south, the northern desert is characterized as one of the driest in the world. This celebration held in February, to remind the union of two cultures that make up and allowed they emerge Chilean society and other South Americans as are the Spanish and the indigenous. The union of the indigenous and Catholic allow a different view of the habits that are seen elsewhere, and thanks to this, many foreigners own country and tourists are attracted to participate in this beautiful carnival.
ReplyDeleteCompared to other celebrations, this is a celebration northern itself, is not moved, lasts three days, one of the shortest, with national holidays, the other last between 5 days and 3 weeks. This celebration is the only one that allows participation of Peruvian or Bolivian neighbors
I prefer Vina del Mar Music Festival. First, for your landscape. Vina del Mar has the most beautiful beachs of Chile. Also, It is located to two hours of Santiago, therefore it is easier to get than the other celebrations. Vina del Mar Music Festival is the best celebrate for me because I love the music of many styles, such us, pop, romantic, jazz, cumbia, rock, folcklore, classic, etc. It is invites artists from different ages and countries, making it a very varied holiday for everyone.

ReplyDeleteI choose the We Tripantu. Is more than a new year, for Mapuche people is a change of cycle. My father's family are from Cañete, in Provincia de Arauco. There the Mapuche people celebrate the We Tripantu and someone in the midle night swim in the rivers or lakes for purify their souls. Is the most interesting and historic celebration.

ReplyDeleteI chose Fiestas Patrias, it is in 18 and 19 September, this holidays are one of the best because the spring is beginning and the weather is very good. In Fiestas Patrias you can know a lot of Chilean traditions like Cueca, Rayuela, palo encebado and others. The Fondas are the places to celebrate the Fiestas Patrias. In the Fondas there are Chilean’s typical food, traditional dances, typical games and a great party. The people always are very happy and want to have a good time. If you come to Chile, you must come in this Holidays.
